Meg Silver

Today I launch a project that got sidelined back in August as yet another thing I wouldn’t have time to handle once Mr. Silver moved eight hours away.

The project is called SMALL TRIUMPHS. Basically, you tell me your good news using this page, and I post it as a word-pic, like the one seen above. (Those of you who’ve had to listen to me bitch about the weather all winter will know why that’s such a big deal to me.)

Clearly, this does not have to be earth-shattering news. It just has to be GOOD news, and I think everyone understands why this is important. We all get so caught up in our own stuff that someone else’s perspective (and triumphs) keeps our eyes open.

And come on — who isn’t completely fatigued by all the sad-sack negativity bombarding us from the Interwebz?

I know I am, so let’s do this thing. One day per week will be set aside on the blog to post entries. (I haven’t decided which day yet.) This will no doubt become my favorite day of the week.

The rules are as follows:
Submit your good news using this page.
24 words or less.
You absolutely can opt NOT to have your name attached to your good news.
Yes, you absolutely can use profanity.
Yes, your good news absolutely can be about anything.
Yes, I can edit you’re… er, YOUR spelling and grammar, but not your content.
