Just back from visiting Mr. Silver. We spent much of the weekend driving around and gawking at all the local sights. It was fabulous. So now I’m home with laundry, sullen teenagers, unpacking to do, and a “muse” standing in the corner, tapping his foot and looking mightily annoyed. I pick muse.

Fiskars On Kittens

Those of you on Twitter and Facebook no doubt know we’ve “rescued” another kitten. And anyone who lives with cats knows the truth: we were hired for a job we didn’t even know we applied for. She refuses to name herself, and if we don’t stop calling her “Senorita Bitchy-pants”, the name is eventually going to stick. I would take a picture of her to show y’all, but she is currently under the futon attacking a spot on the carpet and waiting for the dog to walk by again. (Really it’s a wonder I get any work done in this house.) Happy Monday!

Mission Improbable

Remember that scene in Monty Python’s Holy Grail where the whimsical prince guy keeps bursting into song and shooting arrows out the window, hoping to evade the important task at hand? That’s pretty much my morning thus far. More notes have arrived from mein editor when I want to be outside screwing around in the beautiful weather. Don’t worry. One good shot of tree pollen and I’ll be back to work with a quickness.
