Hi! Quick drive-by: I’m already late for an appointment that’s going to keep me out of the office the rest of the day, but I wanted to let everyone know that we whipped up the forums’ skeleton, and readers can start joining and posting and whatever. There’s not a lot of content yet and what’s there is largely incomplete, but go forth and gossip and discuss, if you like. I’ll check back in either late tonight or early tomorrow to see how things are going. ETA: A link would be nice, no? Fantasy Heights SpoilerZone

This is sort of a “if I’m quiet, it’s not because I’m screwing around” post; this week I’m working on books 6 & 7, plus one of the stand-alones. Yes, the zombies are having scrambled brains for breakfast. Also under construction are forums where readers can drop all the spoilers they want. We’ll get that sorted and ready for launch as soon as possible, but book production takes priority, of course. There’s not a lot left to do: just some more content to load and maybe a hair more organization before we can open the doors officially. That’s all the news worth sharing this morning. Have a great Monday.

For readers in the States please, for heaven’s sake, if you work outside, be careful and drink tons upon tons of water. Holy crap it’s unpleasant out there. For those who have no electricity (who probably can’t read this), here’s hoping for a quick return to normalcy. For those of you out west suffering through the wildfire, everyone’s hearts and thoughts are with you. If only the fixes were as easy as restoring electricity, right? On the FH front, I’ll be in and out of the office this week. Definitely out on July 4th when I and mine will be out blowing stuff up. Otherwise, I’ll be hairline-deep in story… Read More

Okay, so after a slight disagreement between road construction, a fiber optic cable and a recalcitrant, grudge-holding network router, I’ve finally got the office back online. (Technically we were back Tuesday, but it was late in the day and I know better than to post when tired and annoyed.) Regarding Book 6’s release date: “By end of summer” is the best estimate I can give. In other news, after I whined last week about wanting to discuss a story development, a reader suggested some sort of forum (other than this blog) where everyone can discuss episodes and developments and whatnot, and I’m taking it under serious consideration. Everyone has been awesome… Read More

Though it won’t be technically official until Monday, One To Watch has been released into the wild. It is currently available for Kindle on Amazon, for Nook on Barnes & Noble, and most file types are available via Smashwords. AmazonBarnes & NobleSmashwords Sony ebookstore and iTunes could take a couple weeks; there’s really no way to guess on those, sorry. Anyway, there it is. Enjoy. I hope you like it. (And please try to minimize spoilers for fellow readers. Which sucks because I SOOOOOOOOO want to talk about Thomas’s reveal.)

Sometimes, I really, really don’t like my editor. For instance this morning, when she sent a link to the following video, which led to aching stomach and face muscles, spilled coffee and various other forms of bedlam. Absolutely hilarious. Someone stop me before I start clicking on these guys’ other links.
