Today, I’m creating a ton of new “improved” Fantasy Heights book files. Improved means they have new navigation, covers, and all the edits we had to do prior to print. These new ebook files should start pushing through Amazon, Smashwords and ARe over the next few days. Other venues will take longer. If you’re alerted by your retailer that an updated file exists, this is why. The bundled print edition is almost ready. I’m excited to see the whole thing put together, finally. I’ll post links once it’s all official-like. And I can’t wait for the file updates to be done because if I don’t get to write soon, I… Read More

HA! Little did Emma realize that signing postcards beats the heck out of proofing. Thanks for the requests. More proofing still to come. I can’t WAIT until I can go back to writing. #faintingcouch

This is actually Emma, editor of Fantasy Heights. Today, we’re going over the print proof for the seventieth time. To teach Meg that she should never leave me alone in her office with her computer logged into her blog and Hoot Suite, let’s make her hand hurt, shall we? Anyone who wants a free, signed Fantasy Heights Season One postcard, please use the contact form with POSTCARD in the subject line. In the body of the email, please include your name and mailing address exactly as it should appear on the envelope, line breaks included. Like she said on the forums last week, she’s not good at guessing how other… Read More

Now is a fine time to find out the poll isn’t working for some mobile users. #editorface As a result, we’re moving the poll over here, and will combine results later. Please vote — right now it’s a four-way tie. These are the candidates for All The Queen’s Men cover updates: ONE: TWO: THREE: FOUR: Oi. I swear Joy’s mission in life is to make this infinitely harder… FIVE: SIX: SEVEN: EIGHT:

There’s a new poll in the forums regarding All The Queen’s Men cover updates. If you’ve got a minute, please let us know which one you like best. I like them all, and Joy is Switzerlanding me, so you lot get to decide instead. In other news, the print process is clicking along nicely. I ordered the galley proof this morning. Yay!

This list is causing a great deal of hilarity AND consternation this morning. SEX SCENES: LIST OF FORBIDDEN WORDS and PHRASES: (Emma thinks these should be called the “un-safe” words.) 1) Shortly 2) Smelly 3) Sickly 4) Wrinkled 5) Stinky 6) Dry hump 7) Dry heave This list could grow endless. My stomach already hurts from laughing. What else should be on there?

We threw a graduation party yesterday. Today, I make the tough transition back to sedentary, nose-to-grindstone position. There’s a lot of nit-picky work on the agenda, which makes it extra difficult. I feel something rebellious coming on…

What’s this? It’s all happening! +1 internetz if you source the quote…

The only annoying thing about a long holiday weekend is the “Wait — Is it Monday or Tuesday?” confusion afterward. Though I’m still not sure which day it is, I do know that this week, we’re (mostly) working on getting ready for print. On deck today is continuing to go through all nine files, cleaning up stuff that Emma and I and the proofers missed. /twitch Thank God I get to write after lunch. Anyway, have a great TUESday.
