Okay, so I suffered a bout of temporary bravery and enrolled the Calais County Miniseries into Kindle Select. Which means that Kindle Unlimited members can get both Gentleman’s Privilege and Lovers Walk, completely free!

Over the weekend, Mr. Silver surprised us with a visit. I also managed to get — God knows how — poison ivy. On my neck. Cosmic balance, I guess. Also absolutely no work got done, so I am a scramblin’ fool so far this morning. Let’s kick Monday in the teeth, shall we?

This question has hit my inbox three times already: Q. What do you think about Kindle Unlimited? Should I sign up? A. At this point, I have the luxury of hanging back and watching others do all the nitpicking and speculating. Have I rushed to sign up for a trial? No. Will I sign up for a trial? Maybe to explore a reader’s experience of the service, but it’s not a service I myself would use. My TBR pile is ginormous enough the way it is, thank you very much. From a supplier standpoint, I don’t know. I have never experimented with Kindle Select (a requirement to ‘get into’ Kindle… Read More

Hey, everybody! I hope you’re all having a great weekend. This is a note to let you know that I will be out of touch for a couple days. I’ve got a family thing happening. Nothing too serious, just parents who require a little extra help right now, so I will be non-communicado for a bit. I hate it, and I’ve put off these changes for half a year to avoid upsetting my readers who’ve stuck with me for a long, long time. HOWEVER — comma… there’s a simple explanation for why I’m caving in on the changes. Put succinctly, the rise to 2.99 per title works for some authors. I gave it a… Read More

So. We survived another July Fourth. The opportunity to blow stuff up makes this holiday Mr. Silver’s side of the family’s Christmas. It was loud and long and fun. Sadly, now I need to scrape my brain together and focus on getting Episode 11 out to the betas. Which could be interesting, as it’s still parted out like a stolen car at the moment… I hope everyone had a safe and peaceful holiday. No one be interesting today or I’ll fall behind on deadlines.
