Bring it, Monday

I hope everyone had a great Mother’s Day. Things were delightfully quiet around here, which is exactly the way I like it. We’re getting pretty close with For The Wicked. I should say we’ll see release within the next two weeks provided nothing wacky happens. I think — emphasis THINK — this is the final cover: That’s it for today. There’s still lots and lots of revising and polish to apply, so I shall see you on the slopes.

Tuesday Confession

This has recently been brought to my attention… CONFESSION: Every time I revise a/o edit, I watch these three things repeatedly. 1) Alien 2) Buffy, Season 1 3) Galaxy Quest This apparently drives Emma and my entire family nuts. You’d think they’d be used to it by now — Every time I go on a cleaning binge, either Drop Dead Gorgeous, Mean Girls or Clueless is on the DVD player. Hmm… I think there’s a pattern there, somewhere.

Mission Improbable

Remember that scene in Monty Python’s Holy Grail where the whimsical prince guy keeps bursting into song and shooting arrows out the window, hoping to evade the important task at hand? That’s pretty much my morning thus far. More notes have arrived from mein editor when I want to be outside screwing around in the beautiful weather. Don’t worry. One good shot of tree pollen and I’ll be back to work with a quickness.

Jeez, Neil

Okay, so last night before bed, I watched one episode of Doctor Who (Fear Her) and then read some Game of Thrones. Apparently, this is some sort of recipe for subconscious chicanery. I dreamed about Pirates of the Caribbean, Neil Peart and Admiral Ackbar. Someone thought Admiral Ackbar’s eyes were boobs. o.O
